Our privacy promises.

Plain-language version. A formal legal privacy policy is coming, but this is what we actually do.

What we store

Your plan data — names, roles, where things are kept, preferences. The information you type into forms while building your Intentward Plan.

Your list, if you keep one. Check My Plan lets you keep something you want to come back to — a finding you'd rather not lose, or a line you write yourself — and that list is stored the same way your plan is, encrypted, on your account. What's kept is the wording you left it in: edit a line and ours is gone, yours is what's there. It's a box you type into, so the rule in the next section applies here too — a list is for "sort out who else can open the safe," never for what's inside it. Your list goes when your account goes, and when you reset it.

What we don't store

Passwords. Social Security numbers. Account numbers. Financial credentials. Documents themselves. We track where these things are, never the things themselves.

If you wouldn't write it on the back of a postcard, don't put it in your plan. We're a planner, not a vault.

Who has access

You. Your designated steward(s) when you choose to share. That's it.

We don't sell data to third parties. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't share your information with anyone you haven't named — other than the services that make Intentward run: the AI described below, the sign-in service that verifies who you are, and the hosting our database sits on. They handle your data on our instructions and for nothing else.

What you keep in your Check My Plan list stays with you. It isn't in the document you print or hand on, and a steward never sees it.

AI transparency

Your conversations with the Guide are processed by AI. We use your plan data to personalize the guidance you receive — that's the whole point. When you ask the Guide to help you think through a particular decision, what you've already filled in elsewhere goes along with the question, so the answer fits your situation instead of a generic one.

Check My Plan extends that. If you tick the option that looks for possible mistakes and loose ends, your plan is read straight through — every topic, including ones you've never brought up in conversation. That's the only way it can raise something you haven't thought to mention. It reads; it never writes. And nothing goes in the background: it goes when you tick that option and ask for the report.

That report is saved. The findings are stored encrypted, the same way your plan is, so they're still there when you come back instead of vanishing when you close the tab. What's kept is what the scan wrote about your plan — its own sentences, not anything added to your plan. It's one reading at a time: ask for a new one and it replaces the last. We don't keep a history of previous readings, and nothing here expires on a clock. What you wave off we keep too — those are your answers, and remembering them is what keeps the same suggestion from coming round again. The findings go when your account goes, and when you reset it.

The AI only ever sees what's in your plan. What we don't store, it never sees — no passwords, no account numbers, no documents.

We do not train AI models on your personal data. What we send is processed by a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic's Claude API) under their data-handling commitments; it is not used to train their foundation models.

Data deletion

You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Email support@intentward.com with the subject line "Delete my account" and we'll handle it within 7 days.

Deletion is permanent. We do not retain backup copies of deleted accounts beyond standard infrastructure rolling backups, which age out within 30 days.
